GHOST Special Session – Edge AI
Last Monday a GHOST Special Session on Edge AI took place. This time we hosted Michał Giełda from AntMicro who gave an interesting presentation entitled “Edge AI – new capabilities, tools and platforms for a new wave of connected devices”. We learned about new hardware architectures supporting deep neural networks such as Jetson Xavier, Movidius Myriad or TPUs. Michał also emphasized the need for open architectures such as Risc-V and show us some interesting projects they are working on e.g. SkyWall and compression of deep nets.
